CBD CAR GUARDS

The Chamber has a Car Guard Project providing job creation for +/- 40 Car Guards in the Central Business District (CBD) of Krugersdorp.

The Project has been running very well since inception in 1997 and has many success stories in preventing criminal activity and in actual arrests and subsequent prosecutions. The SAPS are in charge of our Car Guards and we have an excellent relationship with the SAPS Sector Unit.

This is a Community Project and the tips obtained by the Car Guards from Motorists are for their own account and assist them putting bread and milk on their table.
